After the successful launch of Ertiga, County’s largest car makers Maruti is planning to launch a wonderful SUV, named as Maruti XA-Alpha.
maruti has already launched their first MPV Ertiga and it was a succesfull concept. The Idea of Maruti XA Alpha was an exhilarating experience for Maruti. They conducted surveys on a large scale included the thoughts of youth and people living on various attitude and finally this came up as an Sports Utility vehicle(SUV).

Maruti has presented the concept version of XA-Alpha at the time of Delhi Auto Expo. It was being said that Maruti will take atleast 2 years to launch this SUV in the market but neither the customers nor the company are having interest to wait for this long time interval.
Maruti CEO Shinjo Nakanishi says “We were planned to launch XA-Alpha after 2 years but it is the interst of our customers and the increasing demand of SUV’s which has made us to launch the XA-Alpha in Indian market”
Although there is no fixed date has been decided but it is being expected that Maruti XA-Alpha will be launched till the mid of 2013.
Specifications
Appearance: The color of the car is lava red that symbolizes the passion and Chunky fenders, impressive grille and front air dam on beefy bumpers make it sturdy. Fat C pillar adds a lot of strength to chasis and looks very Dakar-ish. The XA Alpha has slim tail lamps, narrow rear wind screen and also fat chunky bumpers at rear.Overall the SUV is impressive.
Engine & Performance:Engine will be powered by K-Series engine that will power the petrol varients, where as 1.3 ltr direct diesel inject system will power the Diesel variants. The Top Speed of XA-Alpha will be 180 KMPH
XA-Alpha will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, the expected mileage of the SUV is 8-10 KMPL
