The versatile beauty has explored one more side of her and the Super Fight League (SFL) just became more special. The actor, along with Delhi-based designer duo Shantanu-Nikhil has worked on the design of the outfit to be donned by the ring girls in the Super Fight League. The outfit is dated to be uncovered at a glittering event on 11th of March.
The SFL is a joint business venture by actor Sanjay Dutt and entrepreneur Raj Kundra, to whom Shilpa Shetty is married. SFL goes on air pretty soon and is going to introduce Mixed Martial Arts in India for the very first time. The venture claims Shilpa, is very special to her and she doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned. She has personally auditioned young girls from abroad and selected them as ring girls for the show. They are sure to glam up the show, she claims. Also, Raj and Sanjay are very excited about the whole thing and are trying to get every detail correct.
When quizzed about how the idea of providing creative inputs came to her, she humbly laughs and says that it was her husband’s faith in her and he practically made her give it a try. About being the idea so successful, she thanks the designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil. When asked to throw some light on the look, Shilpa says that it is an Indo-Western look, and is sure to “raise the oomph factor to dizzying heights”. The ring girls will be seen wearing “mini-sarees in gold with full pallus and skirts and the red SFL logo” says Shilpa. According to her, the saree will ensure Indianness and sex appeal as well.
The designers Shantanu and Nikhil were heard mouthing words of praise for Shilpa; “Shilpa has a strong creative edge so she can visualise things quickly” and this made it very easy for them to work with her.
