Item number of Kareena to be included in Heroine

BOLLYWOODMASALA,Actress Kareena Kapoor will turn item girl for her much-awaited film, ‘Heroine’. Kareena would do an item song titled, ‘Halkat Jawani’ for the Madhur Bhandarkar-directed film.

 ”We are doing an item song, titled, ‘Halkat Jawani’. It is a wonderful song and would be filmed on Kareena. I am sure people will like the song,” Madhur told reporters here.

 Reportedly, the song is composed by Salim-Sulaiman. ‘Halkat’ is a Mumbaiya slang word which means nasty.

 It is reported that for the item song, Kareena would do a lavani, a Marathi folk dance. Recently, Katrina Kaif had performed a lavani number for Karan Johar’s remake film, ‘Agneepath’.-CMC

BOLLYWOODMASALA,Actress Katrina Kaif, who is shooting for Yash Chopra’s untitled film in London, has said the veteran Bollywoodfilmmaker has a sharp mind. After a gap of eight years, Chopra has returned to direction with the Shahrukh Khan-Katrina starrer romantic film, which is slated for Diwali release. “We had a shooting schedule in London…it was extremely nice. The weather was cold out there but we had a nice time,” Katrina told reporters here lastevening at the launch of a book based on one of her films, ‘Rajneeti – The film and Beyond’.

“We think of Yashji as a senior and young at heart man. But you have to be on sets to understand how sharp he is. He picks up small small things like something was disturbing me or something with my mood…he used to pick up all that… which no one else does. He is very special person.”

Shooting for the untitled film, which also stars Anushka Sharma, started in the third week of February in London.

Katrina also happened to injure herself on the sets of the film, which she thinks is a good luck sign. “I hurt myself on bike. While I was getting off the bike I hurt my leg as I had it on silencer. But in a way it is a good luck sign,” Katrina said. “Every time I hurt myself during films..it turns out to be good -CMCthing.

On April Fool’s Day Sunny Leone begins shooting for JISM 2

BOLLYWOODMASALA,Mahesh Bhatt’s latest muse, the Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone   will begin shooting for her Bollywood debut JISM 2 on April 1.

The bombshell posted on the social-networking website saying, ”For all asking JISM 2 starts shooting April 1st!!!!”

But co-incidentally, 1st April, when JISM 2 will roll on, is celebrated as the ‘April Fools’ Day’ worldwide and obviously jokes relating to the day are already doing the rounds.

However, Sunny isn’t bothered with the growing gags. In fact the lady says that she doesn’t even believe in the day’s significance. Posted Sunny on the social-networking site, ‘I don’t believe in this april fools stuff. JISM2 is shooting on the 1st of april.  get ready here we come India.’

Dravid wants Amir to be back

CRICKETNEWS,Disgraced Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has got some much-needed support from Indian batting great Rahul Dravid, who feels it would be “great” if the youngster manages to make a comeback after serving a five-year ban for spot-fixing.
The 19-year-old was recently released from prison after completing half of a six-month sentence for his involvement in the 2010 spot-fixing scandal that shook international cricket.

“He`s a superb player and when he`s served his ban, I`d hope he`d be able to come back. It`s not easy to stay away from the game for so long, to not play it, and be able to come back,” Dravid told `BBC Sport`.

Amir, who at 18 became the youngest bowler to take 50 Test wickets before being shamed by the scandal, claimed he was “manipulated” by his then skipper Salman Butt, who took advantage of their “good friendship”.

Dravid said he hoped the teen has learnt his lesson from the ordeal he went through and would come back a better player.

“It`s been disappointing as (I am) someone who loves the game, and loves watching young talent come through,” said Dravid.

“It was difficult on everybody across the world who saw such a young talent, and unfortunately he made a few mistakes. We all want him to come back at some stage and I don`t know whether that`s… it`s going to be a challenge. I hope he can do it; it would be great if he can,” he added. -CMC

The shooting of the film titled Mirza – The Untold Story starring Gippy Grewal & Mandy Takhar in the main lead, is done with the shooting part, most of which was in Vancouver. The film is directed by eminent director Baljit Singh Deo. He earlier directed the Punjabi film Jag Jeondeyan De Mele. Deo had also two music videos for Gippy Grewal to his credit earlier, namely Huthiyar and Flower, among dozens of other video ventures he has directed.

Mathews call out of Asia Cup due to calf injury

CRICKETNEWS,All-rounder Angelo Mathews was on Wednesday ruled out of the ongoing Asia Cup tournament due to a calf injury, dealing a blow to Sri Lanka`s chances in the four-nation CRICKETtournament.

Sri Lanka Cricket is yet to name a replacement for Mathews, who had missed the finals of the recently-concluded Commonwealth Bank series in Australia due to the same problem.

“The last couple of days Angelo has had some fitness tests, he hasn`t pulled through those well, so we made a call to send him back home,” Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene said.

“He will try to get ready for the Test matches (against England) that starts in about ten days` time. The selectors back home will decide (on his replacement).”

With Thisara Perera also missing due to a back injury, there is a dearth of all-rounders in the Sri Lankan squad, which forced Tillakaratne Dilshan to bowl his quota of ten overs in the opening game against India on Tuesday.

Such was their plight in the opening game that Sri Lanka had to turn to Chamara Kapugedera, who is has taken just two wickets in his 90-match ODI career.

The team is yet to confirm injured pace spearhead Lasith Malinga`s availabilitty for tomorrow`s match against Pakistan.

“Malinga played through injury in the final two matches of the CB series, so we decided to give him a breakyesterday (against India).”

“Yesterday he bowled a bit, he will be bowling today as well, and after his bowling session we will take a call on him tomorrow,” Jayawardene said after a training session here.
